So Sorry
Yvonne I am so sorry to hear the news I cant believe it. You were such a good friend while we were at school and we had some lovely times. We went our seperate ways as we grew up and got married but i have never forgotten you and how you made me laugh. God Bless and take care of you Love Debs x x x
In total shock!
I was only told on friday night about the sad loss of one queens courts finest bouncers. I first came out to queens court at 18 and at that time with my first gf...i then got a job working alongside other collegues i.e duncan and yourself... we shared many laughs.
As time went on i left QC and was just another regular customer for those monday to fri nights... u helped me through many scrapes...most ov the time arguments with gay men and exes... u were always really supportive and it didnt stop at the doors... many a time u would offer good reasons of advice whilst wating on your taxi.
I'm deeply saddend about the news and my thoughts are with your friends and family. QC will never have a member of staff like yourself that can fill your shoes.

Dearest Yvonne,
Deepest sympathys go to Saul and Zachary, although i'm sure you're watching over them and will be as they continue to grow.
Just wanted to say i think you're someone very special who i am pleased to have known as you were always there to make me smile whenever you saw me frown. You were always the first to ask how i was feeling and knew how to make me smile. You was always there to give a special wiggle to the songs we liked and brighten up a dreary friday night. No matter rain or thunder you was always a ray of shunshine and a motherly figure to us all at Q.C. Any problems i had you always had an ear to listen and good solid advice. I remember you telling me to do what made me happy and i don't regret a thing.
I think you are a very special lady, a role model to many and someone who showed bravery every step of the time i was fortunate enough to know you.
SADLY MISSED

a diamond.
Yvonne was working at Queens when I first started going into the bar, and she was about when I finished working there. She was one of those people who became, as the old cliche goes, 'part of the furniture'. You couldn't imagine the bar without her and it was reassuring when you went in and you'd see her welcoming smile. I had the privelidge of working alongside her for most of the three and a half years I was an employee. When she returned to work there after a time away, I was extremely happy to have her back, largely because she is quite simply a very nice lady. Nowadays it is easy to become cynical and wary about people, but with Yvonne it was clear that she had a heart of gold (although you knew that if things got rowdy in the bar she would take no nonsense!!). Once she got to know you she was always ready with a hug, and if she thought you looked down or unwell she was always ready with a kind word. Yvonne is one of those people who i feel blessed to have worked with. I can say with certainty that she will be missed by so many of the staff and customers at Queens, because she made it pleasant to be there. Her thoughtfulness was reflected in the gestures she made such as bringing in sandwiches for everyone to enjoy after work. Even though it is sad we will talk about how wonderful Yvonne was in the past tense, we can feel positive that she is with us in the present in our memories, and will always be in our hearts. I'll remember fondly the sweet excitement in her face when a song she loved came on, and the rare occasions when she would even dance along! My thoughts are with her family and all those fortunate enough to get to know her. All my best to everyone, Emily.xx
